This is it

Perfect Day, originally uploaded by The Wandering Angel.

Yes, we are really going to Boracay now.

The trip was nearly jeopardized due to the fact that they (my family) only fly Philippine Airlines.

Oh well, the important thing is that we are definitely going. Unless something unforeseen occurs, which I hope will not.

Waste of time

Spent the past few hours trying to fix the damn wireless router, resulting in a less than ideal essay assignment. I should've been sleeping by now.

Here I come

I think we're finally heading to Boracay this summer. I hope this time it'll finally push through.

Pinoy Big Brother

No, not the TV show.

I recently learned that the Philippine National Police (PNP) have installed closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras along the streets in the metro.

Uh-oh. We're turning into London now.

Will local groups dare to do this?

Progress

On my way here to Robinson's Manila, I realized that the vendors along the sidewalks were gone. Kudos to whomever the credit is due (I'm guessing Mayor Lim). Progress indeed.

Just this morning, we started working on our thesis with the help of our thesis adviser. And he said it again! "This is gonna be easy. That's it and you'll be done with your thesis!" I'll pray that his words will come true. Good thing we're getting some progress.

China Inc.

Made in China
What did I expect when buying a Lenovo? Shaun was made in China.

Being the old skooler that I am, paranaoia immediately sank in. I did some online search for Lenovo reviews. Complaints here, raves there. Which shall I believe?

Nothing I could do now. Except putting into mind that other laptops by the "big" brands are being manufactured by Taiwanese companies, which in turn set up factories in China.

And that Lenovo was IBM's manufacturer way back in 2001.

Dear Lord I hope Shaun dies old. Really really old.

It is finished

Planet Earth was good.

No, it was actually awesome. I've always wanted to download that documentary but didn't have the time. It was amazing.

Now, I wanna travel the world.

Morning news

I'm minutes away from my useless LEAP. If we were not doing something for our thesis later, I would've seriously considered not going to school.

Anyway, while on my daily commute, this morning program reminded me that Valentines Day, or Singles Awareness Day as I have been calling it for 21 years now, is just two days away. Am I that disconnected from the world?

Also on the morning news, Jun Lozada is crying. Again.

Oh God.

Not me

My graduation photos have arrived. (FYI, I'm not graduating til January 2009). They are horrible.

Who is that dermatologist-addicted gay in those pictures? They must've given me his photos.

To my friends, I'm sorry. But I'm not giving away my graduation pictures this time.

Wweeeee frisbee!

Spent some couple of hours playing frisbee with my friends in the university football field.

On a Monday night.

That's something not common to me, as I live some hours away from school, I always am usually the first to go.

But it was definitely nice to spend some time with them, and not actually care if I'll be tired and be home late.

Shaun

The past few days, Shaun has always been in my mind. He keeps me awake all night. When I sleep, I savor the thought that I could see him the next day.

I think I'm addicted.

My father is watching this trial with star witness Jun Lozada on TV. It's got me effing depressed.

Going gaga

It's been three days since I've done nothing but to canvass for laptops. It's driving me nuts.

On a different note, I had my hair cut today at this small Japanese salon near my village. It's been weeks since I've spotted it and I have been meaning to try it. I currently cannot afford to continue having my hair cut at Fix, especially since I'm paying for a lot of stuff. Ah, consumerism. Tsk tsk.

Guess what? It only costs a freakin' 70 pesos! And the stylist is really Japanese. I was expecting something cheap but not that dirt cheap.

An (impending) new laptop and a new salon - this week has been good to me.

Lappy toppy

I told my parents that I needed a laptop.

No, I am not the spoiled brat kind. In fact, I hate asking my parents to buy me things. I bought my own iPod and digital camera. I hate asking them to shell out money. I used to say I'll never buy a laptop because I don't need it.

But now I really do. We need to start working on our thesis. We're already way behind our schedule. We would really hate to have to enroll for another term just to finish our thesis. Oh God please no.

Frozen in time

This is amazing. I hope Manila copies it. I seriously do.

Dead beat

Taal Volcano

Peppers

My aunt, cousin and niece is currently on a visit from California. My aunt, specifically, hasn't returned for 10 years. So imagine all the travel and eating we have been doing for the past week. Tagaytay, Lucban, Pansol, Antipolo. I think I have gained three pounds in less than a week. We've been visiting relatives I have never seen for 5 years, and eating out every day. Later in the evening, we are hosting a party at our house for a belated birthday celebration of my sister.

I am so tired right now but I needed to rant about it. Don't get me wrong, I love my relatives (and also their pasalubongs haha).
