Betta

IMG_9117

My friend Tammy recently gifted me with a Siamese fighting fish or a betta. I named the new pet Eric in honor of her. Eric is a joy to watch.

Bitten

Look at me

So my lovely dog, Tim, bit me in my finger around 1830 yesterday. I had 8 injections and I spent 4 hours at RITM. It was a forgettable day.

On the other hand, we had a lovely dinner at Koreana in Westgate. All diners were Korean, except us, so that was a good sign.

Wow. It feels weird blogging again. Anyway, I'll probably start my internship this week but I guess I have to devote more time to this neglected blog. We'll see..

Blind

Sweet dreams

I'm sad. My poor dog is going blind. His both eyes are now closed. I hope a miracle will happen while I sleep.

Loverboy

Lovers
My dog and his girlfriend. Every morning, he waits for her to visit him. And at night, they exchange barks while both are at home. It drives us crazy. But we love him.

And his daddy is still single...

Chew

My dog Tim is such a mean chomper. The first time we bought him a rawhide dogbone, he devoured it within an hour. My dad's vintage sunglasses was destroyed after he left on a table in our garage. My dog has chewed on slippers, wood, and whathaveyou.

My dad and I play table tennis almost everytime, and inevitably, a pingpong ball would be lost every now and then. Minutes later, we'll see it shredded into a million pieces.

Just a few hours ago, we lost another pingpong ball. I don't know how but it suddenly occurred to me to let my Tim search for it. I got another ball, let him smell it, and voila! Within a minute, we found our missing ball.

I never really realized how smart he is. Now if only we could stop him from chewing on everything.

Lovely Nights

Lately, our dog Tim has been really cranky and will not let us sleep at night until we walk him outside. He would whine nonstop with his little begging voice that you just can't resist.

While it may sound like a pain in the ass, it was surprisingly fun. I imagined myself being dragged around. While this may be true, I am actually enjoying it.

Plus, I now get additional exercise which my not-so-fit body has been asking for. Walking my dog is a great bonding experience between us. I've been so busy the past few months that I have been neglecting him. I realize that I was a bad pet owner, but I am making up for it.

But what really surprised me was how peaceful, pleasant and bare our little village is at 10pm. I can actually get clean and fresh air at our village in the middle of the metropolis!

I really liked this idea of walking at night that I now play frisbee with my dad when we can. It's actually nice how you perspire and the cool breeze hits your face and body.

Ah, the simple joys in life.
