I'm sure a lot of you have received this email from a certain Marica Gonzales. I tweeted about it immediately because I knew there was something fishy about it. It was well-constructed with correct grammar and punctuation. It was sent directly to me, but I knew right away that it was spam.
Well, it turns out that it was a big viral campaign for Datu Puti's soy sauce (or toyo), according to Azrael.
They have set up a YouTube channel as well.
I don't know what to think about this. Before, I vocally hoped that Pablo Banila is a viral campaign for a hair product or something.
But this Marica Gonzales thing is a bit different. It was an email directly sent to individuals, whereas that Pablo Banila thing created a buzz when a lot of users got freaked out by his weird viewing habits, gross looks, and disturbing website. But the email was a bit uncreative in the opinion and pushing it too far. How did "she" get our emails by the way?
It was a great idea, but should've been executed better.

And the winner is...
David Cook!
So The Chosen One wasn't chosen after all.

Baby
Okay, everyone's been raving about David Cook's performance of "Always Be My Baby" by Mariah Carey on American Idol a couple of nights ago. And I'm joining the bandwagon.
I don't normally blog about American Idol performances but this is by far my favorite performance this season. Instant LSS and it gave me the chills.
I still don't like his personality, but he keeps on delivering great performances each week. Click here.

Survivor
GMA 7 is doing the local franchise of Survivor? Why?! I love(d) Survivor, and I don't know if GMA 7 could live up to the standards and production quality of the original US series. I really don't want to see another Philippines' Next Top Model.

Keeping up
This will be a very very long weekend. The damage so far: Perfect Stranger. The Bourne Supremacy. Fracture. New seasons of The Hills and Newport Harbor. Final season of The Simple Life. And two seasons of my new obsession, Kyle XY.
Yes, after all the hell that has happened to me the past few weeks, I need to detox. I need something wholesome - Kyle XY.
On another note, is it just me, or is high school not even remotely as exciting as what Laguna Beach and Newport Harbor portray?
Update: Also saw 300, Apocalypto, Shooter, and Vacancy.

My dad says the darndest things
Last Thursday, while watching American Idol:
Dad: Ang tagal na palang kumakanta ni Celine.
Me: Bakit?
Dad: Bata pa si Elvis diyan e.
I just love my dad. Click here.
